Why I Want to Hear People’s Stories

I’ve always been curious about how other people see the world. I want to know what they do, how they live, and how they got to where they are. When someone achieves something, I wonder about the choices, chances, people, and hard days behind it.

That curiosity isn’t only about success. Everyone has a story, and the part we see from the outside is usually small. It’s easy to look at someone and decide they’re good or bad, or that we already understand them. I would rather ask what happened in their life and what made them the person they are today.

I don’t have to agree with every choice someone made to learn from them. Maybe they took a risk I would never take. Maybe they made a mistake and had to start over. Maybe they had help at a moment when everything could have gone another way. I want to hear the parts of the story that don’t fit into a quick opinion.

That’s why I’d like to have open conversations with people, and maybe interviews here someday. I want to ask questions and listen without trying to prove a point or judge the person in front of me.

If I can understand someone else’s perspective a little better, I might see my own life differently too. And if I share those conversations, maybe we can all take something useful from them.
